Two things that I always wonder what to do with are those lovely seashells I collect on the beach and all the wonderful words I read over the years and wish I could remember. Here’s an idea to take care of both! Put your favorite quotes on seashells and keep them in a dish. Then every time you feel the need for inspiration or just a kind thought, you can pull one out and read it.
Here are some tips:
Use regular school glue to hold the paper words onto the shell. That seems to work fine. If you want an extra layer of protection, paint over it with clear nail polish.
I typed and printed the quote and then tea-stained my paper before cutting and glueing.
You can make it fun and hunt for the words in magazines, or you can just type it and print it out like I did.
If you’re intrigued by the saying on this shell, check out my latest novel Summer at Firefly Beach. It’s up for preorder now! Just head over to the “books” tab and you can order it straight from there.
